Zelenskyy Hopes US Midterm Democratic Gains Will Bring More Aid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that Democratic gains in the US midterm elections will lead to increased military and financial assistance for Ukraine. He noted that Democrats have consistently supported Ukraine and also aim to strengthen ties between the US and Europe. Zelenskyy believes that stronger Western support, particularly from the US Congress, could put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin. This comes as US-led trilateral talks involving Ukraine and Russia are set to resume next week in Abu Dhabi to discuss ending the war.

यूक्रेन के राष्ट्रपति वोलोडिमिर ज़ेलेंस्की ने उम्मीद जताई है कि अमेरिका के मध्यावधि चुनावों में डेमोक्रेट्स की जीत से यूक्रेन को ज़्यादा सैन्य और वित्तीय सहायता मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि डेमोक्रेट्स ने लगातार यूक्रेन का समर्थन किया है और उनका लक्ष्य अमेरिका और यूरोप के बीच संबंधों को मज़बूत करना भी है। ज़ेलेंस्की का मानना है कि पश्चिमी देशों, खासकर अमेरिकी कांग्रेस से मज़बूत समर्थन, रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन पर दबाव डाल सकता है। यह ऐसे समय में आया है जब अमेरिका के नेतृत्व में यूक्रेन और रूस के बीच त्रिपक्षीय वार्ता अगले हफ़्ते अबू धाबी में युद्ध समाप्त करने पर चर्चा के लिए फिर से शुरू होने वाली है।
