US stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the Nasdaq Composite dropping 0.77% at the opening bell. Losses in chip and data center-related stocks weighed on the index. This followed a rally in the previous session driven by Democrats' significant midterm election victories. The Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a slight increase of 0.62% at the open, while the S&P 500 experienced a minor dip of 0.17%.
