Crude Oil Prices Drop Significantly, Offering Relief To Oil Companies
Business Standard · business
Brent crude, a global oil benchmark, has seen a nearly 16 per cent decline this week, settling around $94 per barrel. This price cool-off is attributed to easing concerns over the West Asia conflict. The reduction in crude prices is expected to significantly soften the cost squeeze faced by oil-marketing companies. Consequently, share prices of these companies saw gains ranging between 1.7 per cent and 4.4 per cent on Thursday.
