Coimbatore Corporation Holds Dengue Awareness Programmes

The Coimbatore corporation organized dengue street awareness programmes across its five zones on Saturday, engaging over 500 residents including students. These events featured short films, public pledges, and demonstrations of mosquito control methods, transforming streets into awareness zones. Rangoli competitions and door-to-door pamphlet distribution were also part of the initiative. Mobile medical teams conducted fever screenings, and herbal drinks were distributed. Similar programmes are planned for every Saturday across the city's streets to combat dengue.

कोयंबटूर निगम ने शनिवार को अपने पांचों जोन में डेंगू स्ट्रीट जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए, जिसमें छात्रों सहित 500 से अधिक निवासी शामिल हुए। इन कार्यक्रमों में लघु फिल्में, सार्वजनिक प्रतिज्ञाएं और मच्छर नियंत्रण विधियों का प्रदर्शन किया गया, जिससे सड़कों को जागरूकता क्षेत्र में बदल दिया गया। रंगोली प्रतियोगिताएं और घर-घर जाकर पैम्फलेट बांटना भी इस पहल का हिस्सा थे। मोबाइल मेडिकल टीमों ने बुखार की जांच की और हर्बल पेय वितरित किए गए। डेंगू से लड़ने के लिए शहर की सड़कों पर हर शनिवार को इसी तरह के कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने की योजना है।
