Glenn Phillips' explosive 107 off 49 balls and Michael Bracewell's rapid 65 off 25 deliveries powered New Zealand to a record 259 for seven against India in the fourth T20I. This score is the highest ever posted by any team against India in the format, surpassing England's previous record of 257. Phillips also set a new record for most runs in a T20I series against India. The aggressive batting display came after India had secured an unassailable lead in the five-match series.
