The incident occurred late at night when Singh was attempting to close the gate. He remained trapped for approximately three hours before being discovered the next morning. His family has accused the apartment management of negligence, citing a worn-out stopper and missing safety rod as contributing factors. कानपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश में 55 साल के सुरक्षा गार्ड विक्रम सिंह की श्री प्रभु विस्टा अपार्टमेंट में 600 किलो का स्लाइडिंग गेट गिरने से मौत हो गई। यह घटना देर रात हुई जब सिंह गेट बंद करने की कोशिश कर रहे थे। अगली सुबह पता चलने से पहले वह लगभग तीन घंटे तक फंसे रहे। उनके परिवार ने अपार्टमेंट प्रबंधन पर लापरवाही का आरोप लगाया है, जिसमें घिसे हुए स्टॉपर और गायब सेफ्टी रॉड को कारण बताया गया है। परिवार को प्रबंधन से ₹1 लाख मिले हैं, और पुलिस सुरक्षा खामियों की जांच कर रही है।
