High-period swell waves from the southern Indian Ocean have reached Keralam's coast, with precursor waves already interacting with the region. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority confirmed the swell, which is expected to intensify until September 28, potentially causing inundation in low-lying areas. A red alert is in effect along the Keralam coast, suspending all recreational and fishing activities.
