Two Home Ministry Officials Held For Bribery

Two officials from India's Home Ministry have been arrested by Delhi police for allegedly demanding bribes to facilitate pending Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) registrations. One official worked in the ministry's Foreigners Division, while the other was from a Pay and Accounts Office with prior experience in the Foreigners Division. The arrests followed a tip-off from the Ministry of Home Affairs itself. Police are investigating their potential involvement in clearing other FCRA registrations through similar illegal means.

गृह मंत्रालय के दो अधिकारी रिश्वतखोरी के आरोप में गिरफ्तार

दिल्ली पुलिस ने भारत के गृह मंत्रालय के दो अधिकारियों को विदेशी अंशदान (विनियमन) अधिनियम (FCRA) पंजीकरण कराने के बदले रिश्वत मांगने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। एक अधिकारी मंत्रालय के विदेशियों प्रभाग में काम करता था, जबकि दूसरा पे एंड अकाउंट्स ऑफिस से था और उसे विदेशियों प्रभाग का पूर्व अनुभव था। यह गिरफ्तारी गृह मंत्रालय से मिली एक सूचना के बाद हुई। पुलिस इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि क्या वे इसी तरह के अवैध तरीकों से अन्य FCRA पंजीकरणों को भी मंजूरी देने में शामिल थे।
