Revenue record change doesn't create property title: SC

The Supreme Court has ruled that changes in revenue records do not create or extinguish a property title. This means that merely updating land records does not grant ownership rights. The court clarified that such entries are only for fiscal purposes. Property title is established through other legal means.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि राजस्व रिकॉर्ड में बदलाव से संपत्ति का मालिकाना हक़ बनता या खत्म नहीं होता। इसका मतलब है कि सिर्फ ज़मीन के रिकॉर्ड अपडेट करने से मालिकाना हक़ नहीं मिल जाता। कोर्ट ने साफ़ किया कि ऐसे रिकॉर्ड सिर्फ़ सरकारी टैक्स के लिए होते हैं। संपत्ति का हक़ दूसरे कानूनी तरीकों से ही साबित होता है।
