The National Medical Commission (NMC) has urged medical colleges in Rajasthan to promptly address ragging complaints, following eight reports in just ten days. Colleges are instructed to protect complainant confidentiality, prevent retaliation, and ensure immediate safety without waiting for full inquiry reports. For students experiencing psychological distress, institutions must arrange confidential assessments and mental health support from qualified professionals. The NMC also emphasized the importance of functioning anti-ragging committees, helpline boards, and regular hostel inspections to maintain a safe environment for all students.
