Devendra Fadnavis Slams Opposition's Supreme Court March Plan

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has accused opposition parties of attempting to tarnish judicial institutions and erode public trust. He supported the Chief Justice of India's refusal to meet with opposition leaders protesting ahead of the CEC appointment. Fadnavis called the opposition's planned march to the Supreme Court unconstitutional, questioning which part of the constitution mandates the CJI to meet protesters. He stated that if the opposition has grievances, they should pursue legal recourse through the courts.

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने विपक्षी दलों पर न्यायिक संस्थाओं को बदनाम करने और जनता के विश्वास को कम करने की कोशिश करने का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश (CJI) द्वारा CEC नियुक्ति से पहले विरोध कर रहे विपक्षी नेताओं से मिलने से इनकार करने का समर्थन किया। फडणवीस ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक विपक्ष की नियोजित मार्च को असंवैधानिक बताया और सवाल किया कि संविधान का कौन सा हिस्सा CJI को प्रदर्शनकारियों से मिलने के लिए बाध्य करता है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि विपक्ष को कोई शिकायत है, तो उन्हें अदालतों के माध्यम से कानूनी रास्ता अपनाना चाहिए।
