Nigeria's Dangote refinery has launched a historic $1.6 billion initial public offering to fund a significant capacity expansion. This share sale is being described as the largest in African history. Investors can purchase a minimum of ten shares for approximately $4 each. The offer commenced on Monday and will conclude on October 13, with trading anticipated to start on the Nigerian Exchange soon after. Owner Aliko Dangote has referred to this as a "people's IPO.
