Elderly Woman's Land Restored After Impersonation and Fake Deed

An 84-year-old woman, Bharathi Lakshman Reddy, has had her land restored after it was allegedly transferred using a forged gift deed and impersonation. The properties in Chikkatattamangala village were fraudulently registered in the name of Shravan Kumar. Following a Lokayukta inquiry, Lakshmi Devamma, who allegedly impersonated Reddy, and Kumar were arrested. Revenue authorities have now restored Reddy's name in the records, and the Lokayukta is investigating similar cases targeting elderly citizens.
