Gold Prices May Rise Short-Term But Upside Is Capped
Times of India · stocks
Gold prices might see a short-term increase, though significant gains are unlikely, according to Praveen Singh, Head Currencies and Commodities at Mirae Asset ShareKhan. On October 12, spot gold fell nearly 0.7% to $4165, with domestic prices dropping 1.3% due to INR appreciation. Last week, gold closed with a 1.2% gain at $4194, supported by returning Chinese buyers. Geopolitical tensions, including attacks in Saudi Arabia and ongoing conflicts, are influencing market dynamics. US consumer sentiment and inflation expectations also showed concerning trends.
