IIT Bombay has released new guidelines aimed at preventing discrimination and promoting equality within its campus. Students, faculty, and staff are now instructed to refrain from asking personal questions about a student's caste, admission category, or JEE Advanced rank. The institute believes such inquiries can make students uncomfortable and lead to discriminatory situations. The guidelines also address casteist jokes, derogatory remarks, and the spread of discriminatory messages on social media, with strict actions promised for violations.

IIT बॉम्बे ने अपने कैंपस में भेदभाव को रोकने और समानता को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से नए दिशानिर्देश जारी किए हैं। छात्रों, शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों को अब छात्र की जाति, प्रवेश श्रेणी या JEE Advanced रैंक के बारे में व्यक्तिगत प्रश्न पूछने से मना किया गया है। संस्थान का मानना है कि इस तरह की पूछताछ छात्रों को असहज कर सकती है और भेदभावपूर्ण स्थितियों को जन्म दे सकती है। दिशानिर्देशों में जातिवादी चुटकुलों, अपमानजनक टिप्पणियों और सोशल मीडिया पर भेदभावपूर्ण संदेश फैलाने का भी उल्लेख है, और उल्लंघन पर सख्त कार्रवाई का वादा किया गया है।
