Andhra Pradesh to Invest ₹3,000 Crore for Godavari Region Irrigation Drain Modernisation

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced an estimated ₹3,000 crore investment for modernising irrigation drains in the Godavari region. This initiative aims to provide a permanent solution to the recurring inundation of agricultural and horticultural fields caused by choked drains. The project follows a survey by the Water Resources Department. Additionally, the Chief Minister detailed compensation packages for cyclone victims, including ex gratia payments, input subsidies for damaged crops, and aid for aquaculture ponds and damaged houses. Power restoration efforts are also underway.

आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री एन. चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने गोदावरी क्षेत्र में सिंचाई नालों के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए अनुमानित ₹3,000 करोड़ के निवेश की घोषणा की। इस पहल का उद्देश्य अवरुद्ध नालों के कारण कृषि और बागवानी खेतों में बार-बार होने वाली जलभराव की समस्या का स्थायी समाधान प्रदान करना है। यह परियोजना जल संसाधन विभाग द्वारा किए गए एक सर्वेक्षण के बाद आई है। इसके अतिरिक्त, मुख्यमंत्री ने चक्रवात पीड़ितों के लिए मुआवजे के पैकेजों का विवरण दिया, जिसमें अनुग्रह राशि, क्षतिग्रस्त फसलों के लिए इनपुट सब्सिडी और मत्स्य पालन तालाबों और क्षतिग्रस्त घरों के लिए सहायता शामिल है। बिजली बहाल करने के प्रयास भी जारी हैं।
