Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has filed a petition with the Bombay High Court, challenging a show-cause notice from the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The notice pertains to his involvement in 'Vimal Elaichi' advertisements, which the FDA claims amount to surrogate promotion of a banned pan masala product. Devgn argues the agency's action is arbitrary, as the notice was issued to him as an actor rather than the manufacturing company. Similar notices were also sent to actors Shah Rukh Khan and Tiger Shroff.

बॉलीवुड एक्टर अजय देवगन ने महाराष्ट्र फूड एंड ड्रग एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (FDA) के एक शो-कॉज नोटिस को बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट में चुनौती दी है। यह नोटिस 'विमल इलायची' के विज्ञापनों में उनकी भूमिका से जुड़ा है, जिसे FDA ने एक बैन हो चुके पान मसाला प्रोडक्ट का सरोगेट प्रमोशन बताया है। देवगन का कहना है कि एजेंसी की यह कार्रवाई मनमानी है, क्योंकि नोटिस उन्हें एक एक्टर के तौर पर भेजा गया है, न कि मैन्युफैक्चरिंग कंपनी को। इसी तरह के नोटिस एक्टर शाहरुख खान और टाइगर श्रॉफ को भी भेजे गए थे।
