Airport Access Fee May Increase Cab Fares For Passengers

Cab fares from Thiruvananthapuram airport are likely to rise following the introduction of an access fee for commercial vehicles. Cabs picking up passengers from the arrival terminal will now be charged Rs 180 for an eight-minute entry, with higher charges for longer stays. This additional cost is expected to be passed on to passengers. The airport authority stated the fee aims to reduce congestion and boost non-aeronautical revenue, citing similar charges at other airports. While some travellers find the fee manageable, they also expect enhanced passenger security.

तिरुवनंतपुरम एयरपोर्ट से कैब का किराया व्यावसायिक वाहनों के लिए एक्सेस शुल्क लागू होने के बाद बढ़ने की संभावना है। आगमन टर्मिनल से यात्रियों को लेने वाली कैब से अब आठ मिनट के प्रवेश के लिए 180 रुपये शुल्क लिया जाएगा, और अधिक समय रुकने पर अधिक शुल्क लगेगा। इस अतिरिक्त लागत को यात्रियों पर डालने की उम्मीद है। एयरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी ने कहा कि शुल्क का उद्देश्य भीड़ कम करना और गैर-विमानन राजस्व बढ़ाना है, और अन्य एयरपोर्ट पर भी इसी तरह के शुल्क का हवाला दिया। हालांकि कुछ यात्रियों को शुल्क प्रबंधनीय लगता है, वे यात्री सुरक्षा में वृद्धि की भी उम्मीद करते हैं।
