Residents of Gurugram's Ashok Vihar area protested a prolonged power outage, blocking roads after electricity failed for nearly 24 hours. The blackout has led to a severe water shortage, disrupting daily life and essential tasks like cooking and bathing. Protesters expressed frustration, questioning why their supply was cut before the announced strike began. Authorities deployed police to manage the situation and assured residents that power would be restored soon. The strike by electricity employees is reportedly against the privatization of the electricity department.
