Kolkata High School Student Attacked by Classmate with Sharp Object, Hospitalized

A Class 9 student at South Point High School in Kolkata was attacked by a classmate with a sharp object inside the classroom afternoon. The injured student was immediately taken to the school's infirmary by staff and later transferred to Ruby General Hospital for further treatment. His condition is currently stable. The accused student, reportedly on the autism spectrum, was removed from class, counseled, and handed over to his father. Gariahat police have registered a formal complaint and are investigating the incident.
