Contractor Dies After Firecracker Blast During Ravana Effigy Making

A 45-year-old contractor, Anil Kumar, has died from injuries sustained in a firecracker explosion at a community centre in Sahibabad, Ghaziabad. Workers were placing firecrackers inside a Ravana effigy for Dussehra when the blast occurred, also injuring Kumar's two sons and two other workers. Initial investigations suggest firecrackers were stored inside the centre without permission, and a fire sparked by a heater may have caused a chain reaction. Police have registered an FIR against unknown individuals under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Explosives Act.

गाजियाबाद के साहिबाबाद स्थित एक सामुदायिक केंद्र में पटाखा फटने से घायल हुए 45 वर्षीय ठेकेदार अनिल कुमार की मौत हो गई है। दशहरा के लिए रावण के पुतले में पटाखे भरते समय यह विस्फोट हुआ, जिसमें कुमार के दो बेटे और दो अन्य मजदूर भी घायल हो गए। शुरुआती जांच में पता चला है कि सामुदायिक केंद्र में बिना इजाजत पटाखे रखे गए थे, और हीटर से लगी आग ने शायद एक के बाद एक विस्फोटों की श्रृंखला शुरू कर दी। पुलिस ने भारतीय दंड संहिता और विस्फोटक अधिनियम की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत अज्ञात व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज की है।
