Globally, nearly half of the 844 million chronic kidney disease (CKD) cases go undiagnosed, according to a Lancet report. Researchers are urging for routine urine testing to facilitate early detection. Delayed diagnosis significantly increases the risk of kidney failure and premature death for millions worldwide. लैंसेट की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, दुनिया भर में क्रॉनिक किडनी डिजीज (CKD) के करीब आधे मामले, यानी 84.4 करोड़, बिना पता चले रह जाते हैं। शोधकर्ता जल्दी पहचान के लिए नियमित यूरिन टेस्ट कराने की सलाह दे रहे हैं। देर से पता चलने पर किडनी फेल होने और समय से पहले मौत का खतरा बहुत बढ़ जाता है। यह एक गंभीर समस्या है जिस पर ध्यान देने की ज़रूरत है।
