BJP Demands Special Drought Relief Package For Telangana Farmers

BJP leader Gudur Narayana Reddy has urged the Telangana government to provide a special Rythu Bharosa package for farmers facing drought-like conditions. He stated that current assistance is insufficient to cover the extensive losses incurred. Reddy criticized the Chief Minister's suggestion for farmers to skip a crop without adequate compensation, emphasizing the need for a per-acre package for crop losses and unsown lands. He also called for an immediate damage assessment and a delegation to seek central assistance for the state's farmers, estimating crop losses could reach ₹20,000 crore.

बीजेपी नेता गुडूर नारायण रेड्डी ने तेलंगाना सरकार से उन किसानों के लिए एक विशेष 'रयथु भरोसा' पैकेज देने की मांग की है जो सूखे जैसी परिस्थितियों का सामना कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान सहायता से हुए भारी नुकसान की भरपाई नहीं हो सकती। रेड्डी ने मुख्यमंत्री के उस सुझाव की आलोचना की जिसमें उन्होंने किसानों को पर्याप्त मुआवजे के बिना एक फसल छोड़ने के लिए कहा था, और फसल के नुकसान और बोई न गई ज़मीनों के लिए प्रति एकड़ पैकेज की ज़रूरत पर ज़ोर दिया।
