African Water Facility Backs 148 Projects

Since 2006, the African Water Facility has supported 148 water and sanitation projects across Africa. These initiatives have improved water access for 23.2 million people and provided sanitation for 11.3 million. The facility has also equipped 2 million hectares with irrigation, mobilising €2.1 billion in downstream investment. This work is crucial for enhancing public health and economic development across the continent.
