Bhojpuri actor and Bihar BJP MLC Pawan Singh has been fined Rs 3,000 by a family court in Uttar Pradesh. The court imposed the penalty for his absence during a hearing in a maintenance case filed by his wife, Jyoti Singh. Pawan Singh's lawyer cited his mother's ill health as the reason for his absence, submitting medical documents and a plea for mediation. Jyoti Singh, present with her lawyer, accused the actor of misusing his influence to undermine the judicial process.

भोजपुरी एक्टर और बिहार बीजेपी एमएलसी पवन सिंह पर उत्तर प्रदेश की एक फैमिली कोर्ट ने 3,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। कोर्ट ने यह सज़ा उनकी पत्नी ज्योति सिंह द्वारा दायर भरण-पोषण मामले की सुनवाई में उनकी गैरमौजूदगी के कारण लगाई है। पवन सिंह के वकील ने उनकी माँ की खराब सेहत को गैरमौजूदगी का कारण बताया, मेडिकल दस्तावेज़ और मध्यस्थता की अर्ज़ी पेश की। अपनी वकील के साथ मौजूद ज्योति सिंह ने एक्टर पर न्यायिक प्रक्रिया को कमज़ोर करने के लिए अपने प्रभाव का दुरुपयोग करने का आरोप लगाया।
