BharatPe Backs UPI MDR, Distances From Grover

Fintech firm BharatPe has strongly supported the new Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) framework for UPI merchant transactions, clarifying that former cofounder Ashneer Grover's critical remarks do not represent the company's stance. BharatPe stated Grover has had no association with the company since 2024. The firm believes the new framework strengthens digital payment economics while protecting consumers and small merchants, with around 96% of person-to-merchant transactions remaining unaffected.

फिनटेक कंपनी भारतपे ने UPI मर्चेंट ट्रांजैक्शन के लिए नए मर्चेंट डिस्काउंट रेट (MDR) फ्रेमवर्क का पुरजोर समर्थन किया है। कंपनी ने साफ किया है कि पूर्व सह-संस्थापक अशनीर ग्रोवर की आलोचनाएं कंपनी का रुख नहीं हैं। भारतपे ने बताया कि ग्रोवर का 2024 से कंपनी से कोई संबंध नहीं है। कंपनी का मानना है कि नया ढांचा डिजिटल पेमेंट को मजबूत करेगा और ग्राहकों व छोटे व्यापारियों की सुरक्षा करेगा।
