Times of India · world

Yemen's internationally recognised government has launched a major military campaign, "Yemen Dawn," to counter Houthi rebels, with a Saudi-led coalition providing air support. The operation aims to restore state institutions and liberate the rebel-controlled capital, Sanaa. The coalition reported destroying hundreds of Houthi targets and establishing air protection over the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait. This offensive follows rapid Houthi advances along the Red Sea coast, including the capture of the key town of Turbah, which could restrict government forces' movements and resupply routes.
