Bombay HC Slams BMC Over Mumbai's Garbage Woes City Not Clean Just Because South Mumbai

The Bombay High Court has criticized the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for its waste management, stating that Mumbai cannot be considered clean if only parts of South Mumbai are well-maintained. Justices Girish Kulkarni and Neela Gokhale observed that filth is prevalent across the city, despite BMC claims of improvement. The court noted a lack of significant progress by ward officers in addressing hygiene issues in public areas.

बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने बृहन्मुंबई म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन (BMC) की कचरा प्रबंधन को लेकर आलोचना की है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि मुंबई को तब तक साफ नहीं माना जा सकता जब तक कि सिर्फ साउथ मुंबई के कुछ हिस्सों को अच्छी तरह से न संभाला जाए। जस्टिस गिरीश कुलकर्णी और नीलम गोखले ने देखा कि BMC के सुधार के दावों के बावजूद शहर भर में गंदगी फैली हुई है। कोर्ट ने सार्वजनिक क्षेत्रों में स्वच्छता के मुद्दों को हल करने में वार्ड अधिकारियों द्वारा कोई खास प्रगति न होने पर भी ध्यान दिया।
