Times of India · business

Web development platform Squarespace has laid off approximately 300 employees, representing nearly 19% of its global workforce. The majority of these cuts will impact product and engineering teams as the company restructures to simplify its operations and focus on key priorities. To support departing staff, Squarespace is offering 16 weeks of base pay severance, extended healthcare benefits until May 2027, and career support services. CEO Anthony Casalena described the move as one of the hardest decisions, necessary to adapt to evolving operational demands in the tech industry.
