Bareilly's Zardozi Art Gains Global Recognition Through ODOP Scheme, Boosting Exports and Jobs

Bareilly's traditional Zardozi embroidery, once confined to local markets, is now achieving global recognition through ODOP scheme. This initiative has extended the art's reach to over 200 countries, significantly improving the lives of thousands of artisans and entrepreneurs. Under the ODOP plan, artisans receive 10-day training, toolkits, and a ₹2,000 cash incentive, with over 500 artisans benefiting this fiscal year. Entrepreneurs can also receive margin money subsidies on loans up to ₹2 crore.
