Scientists Create Life-Free Earth Simulation To Aid Alien Life Search
Times of India · science
Researchers at the University of Washington have developed a detailed computer simulation of Earth that excludes life to understand planetary evolution. This model tracks chemical exchanges between Earth's core, mantle, crust, surface, and atmosphere over billions of years. By simulating geological and atmospheric processes without biological influence, scientists aim to better distinguish between planets with life-supporting conditions and those actually harboring life. The findings, published in The Planetary Science Journal, could help astronomers identify potentially habitable exoplanets by analyzing their atmospheric composition.
