Odisha Court To Decide Dara Singh's Release Plea

The Odisha High Court has directed the state government to decide within a month on the release plea of Dara Singh, the prime convict in the 1999 Graham Staines murder case. Singh, who has served over 20 years of his life sentence, had sought early release.

ओडिशा हाई कोर्ट ने राज्य सरकार को निर्देश दिया है कि 1999 के ग्राहम स्टेंस हत्याकांड के मुख्य दोषी दारा सिंह की रिहाई की अर्जी पर एक महीने के अंदर फैसला लिया जाए। दारा सिंह, जो अपनी आजीवन कैद की सजा के 20 साल से ज़्यादा काट चुके हैं, ने जल्दी रिहाई की मांग की थी।
