Delhi High Court Agrees To Hear CJP Leaders' Plea Against Judicial Custody

The Delhi High Court has agreed to an urgent hearing for a plea filed by CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka challenging their judicial custody. The activists were taken into custody by Delhi Police while attempting to reach Jantar Mantar and were subsequently sent to judicial custody. The Special Executive Magistrate court had extended their custody, citing concerns about potential public disorder and violation of bond conditions. The High Court will now hear their challenge to this extension.

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने सीजेपी नेताओं सौरभ दास और आशुतोष रांका की न्यायिक हिरासत को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर तत्काल सुनवाई के लिए सहमति दे दी है। दिल्ली पुलिस ने जंतर मंतर पहुंचने की कोशिश करते समय कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लिया था और बाद में उन्हें न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया था। विशेष कार्यकारी मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत ने संभावित सार्वजनिक अव्यवस्था और जमानत की शर्तों के उल्लंघन की चिंताओं का हवाला देते हुए उनकी हिरासत बढ़ा दी थी। हाई कोर्ट अब इस विस्तार को चुनौती पर सुनवाई करेगा।
