Ruling Parties Win All 6 By-Elections Across 4 Indian States

Hindustan Times · politics

The Election Commission of India declared results for six by-elections on Friday, including five assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha seat. Elections were held in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu for two assembly seats each, with Puducherry holding one assembly by-poll. Assam conducted the sole Lok Sabha by-election. Notably, the ruling party in each respective state secured victory in these contests. This outcome aligns with a broader trend observed in recent by-election results across India.

Ruling Parties

Election Commission of India
