Essel Group Companies Offer Full Loan Repayment With Interest To LIC Housing Finance

Companies linked to Essel Group promoter Subhash Chandra have proposed to repay their full loan amount with 10% interest to LIC Housing Finance. Four companies have submitted a settlement offer, seeking no concessions on the principal amount. The total outstanding loan is approximately ₹980 crore, with two companies owing ₹500 crore and the other two ₹480 crore. Subhash Chandra, who acted as a personal guarantor for these loans, has also clarified claims regarding his personal debt. LIC Housing Finance will now consider the settlement proposal.
