Housing demand in India saw an 8.2% increase between July and September 2026, driven by the approaching festive season and improved buyer sentiment, according to Magicbricks' PropIndex report. Major residential markets experienced demand growth, though it remained below year-ago levels. Homes priced above ₹3 crore showed notable demand in areas like Greater Noida and Bengaluru, indicating continued interest in premium properties. Mid-sized homes, particularly those between 750-1,250 sq ft, continued to dominate buyer preferences, with two and three-bedroom apartments being the most sought-after configurations.
