Madhya Pradesh is undertaking a comprehensive snake census, identifying approximately 50 species within its borders. Among these, nine are venomous, including the medically significant 'Big Four'. The initiative also pinpoints 16 specific 'bite hotspots' across the state. This crucial mapping effort aims to understand and mitigate the risks posed by the deadliest reptiles, enhancing public safety and conservation strategies.

मध्य प्रदेश में सांपों की गिनती हो रही है, जिसमें करीब 50 प्रजातियां पाई गई हैं। इनमें से नौ जहरीले हैं, जिनमें 'बिग फोर' भी शामिल हैं। राज्य में 16 ऐसी जगहें भी पहचानी गई हैं जहाँ सांपों के काटने की घटनाएं ज्यादा होती हैं। इस काम से खतरनाक सांपों के खतरे को समझने और कम करने में मदद मिलेगी, जिससे लोगों की सुरक्षा बढ़ेगी।
