GCC CSR Spending in India Surges 6.4-Fold to Rs 3,661 Crore

Corporate Social Responsibility spending by Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India has seen a significant increase, rising 6.4-fold over the past decade to reach Rs 3,661 crore in FY2024-25. This spending now constitutes approximately 9% of India's total corporate philanthropy. The growth rate of GCC CSR spending, at 20.4% annually, has outpaced the overall CSR spending growth of 15%. Education remains the primary focus for GCC CSR initiatives, followed by environmental projects, while innovation receives comparatively less funding. Over 65% of this spending is concentrated in Tier-1 cities.

भारत में ग्लोबल कैपेबिलिटी सेंटर्स (GCC) द्वारा कॉर्पोरेट सोशल रिस्पॉन्सिबिलिटी (CSR) खर्च पिछले दशक में 6.4 गुना बढ़कर FY2024-25 में ₹3,661 करोड़ हो गया है। यह खर्च अब भारत के कुल कॉर्पोरेट परोपकार का लगभग 9% है। GCC CSR खर्च की वृद्धि दर, जो सालाना 20.4% है, कुल CSR खर्च की 15% वृद्धि से आगे निकल गई है। शिक्षा GCC CSR पहलों का प्राथमिक फोकस बनी हुई है, इसके बाद पर्यावरण परियोजनाएं आती हैं, जबकि नवाचार को तुलनात्मक रूप से कम धन मिलता है। इस खर्च का 65% से अधिक टियर-1 शहरों में केंद्रित है।
