Oktoberfest Beer Prices Outpace German Inflation

Beer prices at Munich's Oktoberfest have risen significantly, outpacing overall inflation in Germany since 1985. A liter of beer, known as a Mass, will average €15.61 this year, a substantial increase from the equivalent of €3.20 in 1985. While prices have climbed approximately 400% over this period, consumer prices in Germany have risen by about 120%. This year's price hike of 2.4% is below the expected inflation rate, marking the smallest increase in two decades.
