Mumbai's historic Kyani & Co has been ordered to halt operations after a Food and Drug Administration inspection revealed severe hygiene violations. Inspectors found pests like rats and flies, along with cockroaches, in food preparation areas. The FDA also noted a blood-filled refrigerator and an open sewage manhole. This action is part of a larger crackdown across Maharashtra, where 30 establishments faced license suspension and over ₹1 crore worth of food products were seized.

मुंबई के ऐतिहासिक Kyani & Co को संचालन बंद करने का आदेश दिया गया है, क्योंकि फूड एंड ड्रग एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (FDA) के निरीक्षण में स्वच्छता की गंभीर खामियां पाई गईं। निरीक्षकों को खाने की तैयारी वाली जगहों पर चूहे, मक्खियां और कॉकरोच जैसे कीड़े मिले। FDA ने खून से भरा फ्रिज और खुला सीवेज मैनहोल भी देखा। यह कार्रवाई महाराष्ट्र में एक बड़े अभियान का हिस्सा है, जिसमें 30 प्रतिष्ठानों के लाइसेंस निलंबित किए गए और 1 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के खाद्य उत्पाद जब्त किए गए।
