The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar regarding petitions filed by Opposition leaders. These petitions challenge the large-scale deletions observed during the special intensive revision of electoral rolls. The court also issued notices to the Union government and Delhi Police concerning a separate plea challenging the de-notification of Jantar Mantar as a protest site. The Opposition's pleas have been clubbed with existing petitions before the court that question the validity of the electoral roll revision process.
