Millions of migrant workers returning to Bihar for Diwali and Chhath Puja face significant travel challenges this year. Regular train tickets are fully booked, with long waiting lists and unavailable new bookings on many routes from Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, and South India. Airfares have surged to between Rs 25,000 and Rs 35,000 for one-way tickets to Patna and Darbhanga. Bus travel also presents a costly and lengthy alternative for families. This situation makes it difficult for many to celebrate the festival with their loved ones.

दिवाली और छठ पूजा के लिए बिहार लौट रहे लाखों प्रवासी मजदूरों को इस साल सफर में भारी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। दिल्ली, मुंबई, गुजरात और दक्षिण भारत से कई रूटों पर सामान्य ट्रेनों की टिकटें पूरी तरह बुक हो चुकी हैं, वेटिंग लिस्ट लंबी है और नई बुकिंग भी नहीं मिल रही है। पटना और दरभंगा के लिए एक तरफ की फ्लाइट का किराया 25,000 रुपये से 35,000 रुपये तक पहुंच गया है। बस से सफर भी परिवारों के लिए महंगा और लंबा विकल्प है। इस वजह से कई लोगों के लिए अपने प्रियजनों के साथ त्योहार मनाना मुश्किल हो गया है।
