Kerala Launches Panchami Gramam Project for Small SC Settlements

The Kerala government has launched the Panchami Gramam project to improve basic infrastructure in small Scheduled Caste settlements. SC/ST and Backward Welfare Minister K.A. Thulasi inaugurated the initiative at Kongad, Palakkad, as part of the government’s 100-day action programme. This scheme aims to address infrastructure gaps in settlements with fewer than 15 SC families, funding development works up to ₹40 lakh. The project will directly undertake house construction, with the first phase accepting 10,000 applications.

केरल सरकार ने छोटी अनुसूचित जाति (SC) बस्तियों में बुनियादी ढांचे को बेहतर बनाने के लिए पंचमी ग्रामम परियोजना शुरू की है। SC/ST और पिछड़ा वर्ग कल्याण मंत्री के.ए. थुलासी ने सरकार के 100-दिवसीय कार्य कार्यक्रम के तहत पलक्कड़ के कोंगाड में इस पहल का उद्घाटन किया। इस योजना का उद्देश्य 15 से कम SC परिवारों वाली बस्तियों में बुनियादी ढांचे की कमी को दूर करना है, जिसके लिए ₹40 लाख तक के विकास कार्यों को वित्त पोषित किया जाएगा। परियोजना सीधे तौर पर घर निर्माण का कार्य करेगी, जिसमें पहले चरण में 10,000 आवेदन स्वीकार किए जाएंगे।
