Puri Gundicha Temple Reopens After Six Years, Entry Fee Introduced

The Gundicha Temple in Puri, considered the birthplace of Lord Jagannath's sibling deities, has reopened to devotees after being closed for over six years since the Covid-19 pandemic began. Previously, public access was limited to the annual Rath Yatra. The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration announced the reopening with chants of "Jai Jagannath." An entry fee of Rs 10 will be levied, though children, senior citizens, and the differently-abled are exempt. The temple will operate from 6 am to 5 pm daily.

पुरी का गुंडिचा मंदिर, जिसे भगवान जगन्नाथ के भाई-बहनों का जन्मस्थान माना जाता है, कोविड-19 महामारी की शुरुआत के बाद छह साल से अधिक समय तक बंद रहने के बाद भक्तों के लिए फिर से खोल दिया गया है। पहले, आम जनता की पहुंच केवल वार्षिक रथ यात्रा तक ही सीमित थी। श्री जगन्नाथ मंदिर प्रशासन ने "जय जगन्नाथ" के नारों के साथ फिर से खोलने की घोषणा की। ₹10 का प्रवेश शुल्क लिया जाएगा, हालांकि बच्चों, वरिष्ठ नागरिकों और दिव्यांगों को छूट दी जाएगी। मंदिर प्रतिदिन सुबह 6 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक खुला रहेगा।
