Woman Cop Assaulted By Nihangs In Amritsar

A woman police officer was manhandled by Nihang Sikhs in Amritsar on Friday night while attempting to rescue a man from their assault. The protesters were holding a sit-in protest on Jhabal Road, alleging reconnaissance by a rival group. Station House Officer Manjit Kaur intervened but was pushed by some protesters. Despite the scuffle, police managed to take the injured man to the station.
