Two Men Electrocuted While Fishing in Sullia Stream

Two men, identified as Bharath (28) and Ramesh alias Ganesh (36), were electrocuted while fishing in a stream at Hollekere in Sullia taluk on Monday. They came into contact with an electric wire from a nearby plantation owned by Madhusudan Bhat. A minor boy accompanying them was injured and alerted relatives, who rushed them to KVG Hospital. Doctors declared Bharath and Ramesh dead, while the injured boy was admitted. A case has been registered against Bhat for an alleged unauthorised electric connection.

सोमवार को सुलिलिया तालुका के होल्लेकेरे में मछली पकड़ते समय भरत (28) और रमेश उर्फ गणेश (36) नाम के दो लोगों की बिजली से मौत हो गई। वे मधुसूदन भट के पास के एक बागान के बिजली के तार के संपर्क में आ गए थे। उनके साथ एक नाबालिग लड़का भी था जो घायल हो गया था और उसने रिश्तेदारों को सूचित किया, जिन्होंने उन्हें केवीजी अस्पताल पहुंचाया। डॉक्टरों ने भरत और रमेश को मृत घोषित कर दिया, जबकि घायल लड़के को भर्ती कराया गया। भट के खिलाफ अनधिकृत बिजली कनेक्शन के आरोप में मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
