Mother and Son Die of Electrocution While Drying Clothes in Mangaluru

A tragic incident in Mangaluru resulted in the electrocution deaths of a 47-year-old woman, Mercy Mascarenhas, and her 18-year-old son, Shaun Mascarenhas. The incident occurred on Thursday in Palakda Varnabettu. Shaun accidentally touched a live wire that had come into contact with a clothesline while he was drying clothes. He collapsed immediately. His mother rushed to help him and also received an electric shock, leading to her death as well. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

मंगलुरु में एक दुखद घटना में 47 वर्षीय महिला मर्सी मस्कारेनहास और उनके 18 वर्षीय बेटे शॉन मस्कारेनहास की बिजली के झटके से मौत हो गई। यह घटना गुरुवार को पालकाडा वर्नाबेट्टू में हुई। शॉन कपड़े सुखाते समय गलती से एक जीवित तार को छू गया था जो कपड़े सुखाने वाली रस्सी के संपर्क में आ गया था। वह तुरंत गिर गया। उसकी माँ उसे बचाने दौड़ी और उसे भी बिजली का झटका लगा, जिससे उसकी भी मौत हो गई। पुलिस दुर्घटना के कारणों की जांच कर रही है।
