Actor Soundararaja expressed his admiration for National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh, describing her as down-to-earth and having no attitude on set. He was surprised and happy when he learned she would play his wife in the film Dorothy. Soundararaja, who has known director Karthik Subbaraj since 2008, trusted him completely for the film, which came to him at the last minute.
