The Uttarakhand government has announced direct appointments for retired Agniveers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a proposal to adjust two retired Agniveers into vacant positions within the 40th PAC battalion. This decision follows a letter from the central government's joint secretary requesting consideration for the resettlement of Agniveers completing their service. This initiative aims to provide job opportunities for Agniveers after their four-year service period, with 75% of the first batch set to retire.

उत्तराखंड सरकार ने रिटायर हो चुके अग्निवीरों के लिए सीधी नियुक्ति का ऐलान किया है। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने 40वीं पीएसी बटालियन में खाली पदों पर दो रिटायर अग्निवीरों को एडजस्ट करने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है। यह फैसला केंद्र सरकार के संयुक्त सचिव के एक पत्र के बाद आया है, जिसमें अग्निवीरों के सर्विस पूरी करने के बाद उनके पुनर्वास पर विचार करने का अनुरोध किया गया था। इस पहल का मकसद चार साल की सर्विस पूरी करने वाले अग्निवीरों को नौकरी के अवसर देना है, क्योंकि पहले बैच के 75% अग्निवीर रिटायर होने वाले हैं।
