A recent survey indicates that extreme heat is significantly disrupting pregnancy care and posing health risks to newborns. The study found that an overwhelming majority of respondents, 98 percent, had personally cared for a pregnant woman whose health was adversely affected by high temperatures. Furthermore, 99 percent reported similar experiences with babies. These findings highlight the critical need to address the health implications of rising global temperatures on vulnerable populations, particularly pregnant women and infants.
